Hillary Clinton Event: Detailed policy discussion

Hillary Clinton describes an America that has climbed out of the deep ditch that we were in when Obama was inaugurated.  The economy has substantially recovered.  Unemployment has gone from 9% to 5%, the stock market has rebounded, the real estate market has rebounded, things are better.

Over the course of the hour she discussed, I can report from memory:
**Social Security benefits and payment strategies
**Health Care situation prior to Affordable Care Act, the politics of the Affordable Care Act, its limitations and the things we should do to improve it.
**She discussed the politics prohibiting "Medicare for All" from being possible
**She discussed in detail the need for continued engagement in the Middle East, then the multiple constraints in our dealing with ISIS, including nation building for the Kurds; Russian interest in protecting Assad, complicated by the downing of the Russian airliner; the negotiations that got Iran to come to the table to discuss limitations on developing nuclear bombs.  And more.
**She discussed workplace equity for women, equal pay for equal work legislation, access to reproductive health care, Planned Parenthood.
**She discussed taxation equity and her plan to increase taxes on the highest earners, plus the Carried Interest loophole which she would close.

And on and on.   She sees problems and opportunities and she has policy prescriptions to attempt to address them.

She is serious, and from my point of view very appealing.  She smiled, She laughed.  She seemed to be enjoying herself.

She wasn't angry.  She wasn't pessimistic.   She looks healthy.

The afternoon started with an outdoor speech at the New Hampshire Capitol building, then went to a High School auditorium.
Afternoon speech after filing papers.  When candidates speak the cameras go up.

Hillary speaking inside at the Town Meeting

I was up front immediately in front of her, so after the talk she shook hands.
For some reason I was pulled out of line and escorted to the front row.  I must meet some demographic need, to please the television cameras at the rear of the  audience.
