"DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN" ...Not
-- Chicago Daily Tribune, November 3, 1948

Most people also thought Hillary Clinton would win. She did win the popular vote by 3 Million Votes, but lost the anti-democratic Electoral College.

By throwing in the towel before election day, people like you discourage people from voting. Then you get the result that you actually wanted, just so you can tell everyone: "I was right, told you!!"

What this ad illustrates is that when we elect someone, we’re buying a brand. In the U.S., we have two major brands, Democrats and Republicans. The former stand for democracy and the rule of law. In contrast, Republicans under Trump have three litmus tests: 1) The 2020 election was rigged and they don’t accept the result, 2) they won’t accept the 2024 election results unless Trump wins and 3) the rule of law does not apply to Donald Trump – any judgment against him is illegitimate. In other words, they have to be batshit crazy, or at least pretend they are.

It is bad practice in commenting -- but a familiar one -- to invent motives to other people i.e, what someone "really" wants.

You shouldn't do that.

But to help you understand the concept, let me give you an example by returning the favor, i.e. positing your motives. It is obvious that you are insecure about the poor outcomes in your personal life and career which causes you to compensate by writing anonymous comments that belittle others.

Your argument about the risks of warning people about Biden's areas of weakness is a reasonable one. I think it better to confront the weaknesses rather than pretend not to see them. He is old. He isn't TOO old.

No need to presume others who note Biden's age really want him to lose. No need, either, for someone to presume that you are motivated by an inferiority complex.

Please keep reading and commenting. Comments have more impact when they are signed.

Here’s a recent comment from Trump on Truth Social that has plenty of impact: “This year will be the new 1776, except this time the fight is not against the British, it's against communist Americans."

Trump and his whacko cult are a danger to themselves and others. He doesn’t belong in handcuffs; he needs a straitjacket and a padded cell.
