Quick note: internet censorship

The internet in Vietnam, update.

American readers create their own media bubbles.   American commitment to freedom of the press dies, then we may discover what the news looks like when the government, in an effort to protect our safety and morals, makes the decisions.

Americans who watch China's official news, which is nearly all there is, get a rah-rah view of China. We good- others bad. Leaders good-opponents bad.  Leaders hard working and virtuous- opponents corrupt.  It is like Fox News in the current environment where they are ardent defenders of Trump, now even against other Republicans and certainly against any Democrat.  If a reader watches twenty minutes of Fox and Friends for a few days one will understand Chinese state TV.

I have not found a Saigon, Vietnam equivalent, but I read the internet here.   Vietnam considers Breitbart to be a dangerous and racist site.  I just uncovered that they also pick and choose within other approved sites.  David Duke, former head of the KKK, who had praised Trump's earlier non-condemnation of White supremacy spokesmen, is now disappointed with Trump.  He was quoted on video, but I cannot watch it here.

I tried to see it, and below is what I got:

We Are Sorry,
