Jon Ossoff is in Oregon today

I am attending a Jon Ossoff event in Portland, Oregon, later today.

He is running for re-election as a U.S. senator for Georgia.

He is also auditioning to be the Democratic nominee for president.

Here is what his campaign fundraising invitation looks like:

This is typical fundraiser setup: tiered donations; the exact address not reported until the day before the event; and sponsoring "hosts" that include well-known officeholders.

The invitation material focuses solely on him as a Georgia senator. That is smart and necessary. Of course he is preparing himself for a presidential run, but he is showing that he has his eye on the senate job he is running for, not the next one.

His campaign fundraising material presents himself as a person who can win: "Sen. Ossoff's pth to victory is clear and proven."

I will give a report on the event on Sunday or Monday.

Nobody will be able to win the Republican nomination without appealing to Trump’s white nationalist base. For evidence of that, you need look no further than some of the response to Peter’s criticism yesterday of Trump’s racism. Any Democrat will be a vast improvement over our current catastrophe in progress, but Ossoff will be particularly good.

Marjorie Taylor Greene?! Ossoff should be so lucky.

Peter is spending at least $1,000 so that he can rub shoulders with the elite.

I spent far more than $1,000.. I am comfortable in this group. I am also comfortable with hard working people who take pride in their work. There are several ways to be elite, and money is only one of them.

The group I am least comfortable with are Christian hypocrites, i.e. people who wear a big cross but are everything that Jesus condemned.
