Democrats are having fun, imagining that MAGA is going crazy over the Epstein revelations.
A short YouTube video is circulating.
FYI: "Bubba" is a reference to an email to Jeffrey Epstein from his brother, suggesting that there is video evidence of Donald Trump performing oral sex on Bill Clinton. Jeffrey Epstein's brother has made a public statement to clarify. He says that the Bubba is not Bill Clinton, but he declined to say who Bubba is.
Democrats love this controversy. Yes, let's consider the question of exactly who the videotape might show Trump performing oral sex on, and whether Putin has a copy.
In the video, actress Caitlin Reilly depicts an imagined MAGA supporter frantic as Trump's various cover stories collapse.

Democrats can enjoy the moment and watch Trump sink deeper into a tar pit of cover stories. But recognize four things:
-- Republican voters in the Fox News silo know nothing about Epstein except that this is a Democratic hoax involving Bill Clinton and other Democrats.
-- White House spokespeople say that the Epstein files absolve Trump. Trump did nothing whatsoever wrong. Period.
-- Trump defenders and mitigators say the women were teenagers, not children. It isn't pedophilia.
-- Republican voters do not care what Donald Trump did with young women that drifted through his life. They knew he was a very successful sexual adventurer/predator. They are OK with that. They are only against pedophilia if they think that a Democrat did it.

Biden was President for 4 years, and controlled the Epstein files, and if there was anything that was harmful to Trump, then it would have been released already. If Trump did something illegal, then he needs to pay for it. The same goes for Bill Clinton, Obama, and Biden. None should get a free pass. I'm not freaking-out about the Epstein files. Release the files, and let the chips fall where they may.
Easy Sunday, or Sleazy Sunday?!
There is another Republican/conservative tranche of response to the Epstein developments: “context”, as in rationalization, minimizing.
“Young women” is one thing, goes the fallback; “children” another. Look at varying ages of consent. Pedophiles favor prepubescents.
Trump is trying very hard to suppress it all coming out for some reason. There are things he doesn’t want others to see. Even MAGA knows that.
I have a friend in Texas who lives in Austin. When she was a little girl, her father ran a hotel in Austin. Sometimes Lyndon Johnson came in (he was a congressman then) to do some business in the statehouse. She said one of her father's jobs was to get a couple of underage girls and bring them to his room. One day he had an appointment with some nuns. They came a little early, so as they were going up the elevator, the maids were quickly making the bed as the girls were being hustled down the back elevator. Her father used to laugh about it.
Remember how “Russia, Russia, Russia“ evaporated once the Mueller Report came out and there was no smoking gun? I expect the same thing is going to happen with this Epstein thing.
When your big political hopes rest on a crackpot like Marjorie Taylor Greene, you are in big trouble.
There was a smoking gun. I remind you of this, MT, and you look it up and remember that Meuller found lots of evidence and reported it. You look it up, remember, then admit that, yeah, Bill Barr lied. Then, a little later you forget and post this again. Alas, you are so angry with woke Portlanders that you have a hard time accepting that--sometimes-- they can be right about something. It is a worse case of TDS than the left has. It is WDS for woke delusion syndrome. If a left coded person asserts something, it must be wrong. And since that is and must be true as an article of faith, then facts must bend to preserve that initial condition. Go back. Look it up again.
The definition of a “smoking gun“ is something that has significant, catastrophic political effect. When I say there was no smoking gun, I mean that nothing that came out was politically effective to that degree.
Bill Barr lied. So what? The Mueller Report came out, and that was the end of the Russia, Russia, Russia issue.
Not true. The definition of a "smoking gun" is "a piece of Incontrovertible incriminating evidence." The Mueller Report included evidence that Trump obstructed justice on multiple occasions. A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of justice.
Over my pay grade to assess whether there was ever a gun, and whether if so it was smoking.
I can say that whether or not there was “collusion”, or “coordination”, or conspiracy to obstruct, the powerful Mueller findings, such as they were, however “incontrovertible”, somehow did not have the legs to carry them to the actionable attentions of the vaunted January 6th Commission, nor any connected Congressional articles of impeachment.
Maybe a pop-gun, or a water pistol?
President Donald Trump called for House Republicans to take a “vote to release” files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, explaining that it is time for the nation “to move on from this Democrat Hoax.”
