On NPR's Morning Addition today, in a report about increasingly dangerous tick bite danger in the NE, caused by Warmer winters, the speaker mentioned that global warming, aka climate disaster, had more warming effects during winter than summer.
I’ve hear similar reports in the past. If that’s true, I’m fine with Warmer winters; less freezing cold homeless people, smaller heating bills, and lower fossil fuel consumption.
Problem is, at least in our Mediterranean climate, we run the aircon at least five or ten times as much as we used to. Used to run it only two or three late afternoons per year; now it’s several times per year. Oh, part of that is we have to keep our windows closed, so can’t use the normal low nighttime temperatures to cool the house. Too much effing smoke. And the powers that be seem unable to wean themselves off burning slash in favor of mechanical mulchers. Thanks a lot, Smoky!
They probably don't want to call attention to it because snow proves that climate change is a hoax.
