This ad is an introduction when we should be well into a relationship by now, two weeks from the election.

Oregon District 2 may have some issues, but my sense is voters are generally content. In this kind of environment it's going to be difficult to raise any alarms without sounding like Chicken Little. Match that with a Regressive tilt and Republicans will have an advantage.

Simply castigating the incumbent, who is inoffensive and scandal free, isn't going to get the job done, and simply being "nicer" won't either. He's been pretty skillful in maintaining a distance from the administration, staying out of the controversies, keeping his head down and no doubt working behind the scenes to advance himself.

It's unlikely but I would like to see a couple of the candidates withdraw and throw their support to another (a woman). As a late comer to the campaign, Jennifer Neahring's efforts have not gained much traction throughout the district. Running a successful campaign and making real connections to voters is like a good preventative health care. Dr. Jenni seems to have skipped the essential "well baby checks" and is going to the emergency room with last minute television ads. We need a Democratic oppenent to Walden who has already laid a strong foundation to mount a serious campaign in the Fall. Jamie McLeod-Skinner is the woman who has done this and is up to challenge of unseating Mr. Walden. McLeod-Skinner is attracting volunteers in all corners of the district to knock on doors and get out the vote. Grass roots matters--especially in a rural district.
Jeanne Chouardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16346661156017905101noreply@blogger.com
